Registration Process

Step 2: Document Review

The College of Dietitians of Manitoba (the College) will review your IEA application and required documents. If your degree is NOT equivalent to a Canadian bachelors degree in human nutritional sciences, you will be advised to complete an undergraduate degree in dietetics from a Canadian accredited program.

If your degree is equivalent to a Canadian Bachelors Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences, but you did not complete an internship/practicum program, you will be directed to complete the KCAT.

If you are unfamiliar with the Nutrition Care Process terminology, complete the Dietitians of Canada Nutrition Care Process Tutorial Modules.

If your application includes dietetics practicum training that is similar to Canadian standards, you may be eligible to undergo Step 3: Substantial Equivalence Testing (SET) assessment conducted by the University of Alberta.

Maybe Maybe The College will invite you to undergo Step 3: SET assessment.
Maybe No The College will direct you to complete the KCAT. You  must achieve a Level I.
No No The College will advise you to complete a Canadian undergraduate degree and practicum/internship program.
