Appeals

You may appeal a decision about your registration (Graduate Dietitian or Registered Dietitian). The appeal process can take up to 7 months to complete.

To appeal:

  1. Submit a letter within 30 days of receipt of your application results. Your letter must include:
    • Your full name
    • Your mailing address
    • The date of the decision letter that explains your application results
    • The reasons for your appeal
  2. Mail your appeal letter to:
    Council, College of Dietitians of Manitoba

Decision

The Council will schedule an appeal hearing within 90 days of receipt of your appeal letter. The Council will notify you the date, time, and place of the hearing. Your presence is NOT mandatory, but you do have the right to appear at the hearing with or without a lawyer. The Council will make a decision within 90 days following the hearing. It will provide you with written notice within 30 days of its decision.

If you wish to appeal Council’s decision, you must file a notice of appeal within 30 days of receiving the decision.
