Task 3: Language

You must be able to speak French or English fluently to become registered with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba (the College) and to be successful in your career as a Dietitian in Manitoba. See Language Requirements for details.

To prepare for registration:

a) Assess your French or English skills > clb-osa.ca

b) Visit the Government of Canada’s online resources  > ourlanguages.gc.ca

c) Contact the Winnipeg English Language Assessment and Referral Centre (WELARC) for a free English language test and English language classes 

d) Practise your English in conversation groups at the Immigrant Centre
