Full Registration

Application Process for Full Registration

This option is applicable to those who are fully registered with another provincial Canadian dietetic regulatory body.

Documents Required:

  1. Original criminal record checks with vulnerable sector check, adult and child abuse registry checks
    • Please contact your local police service and request a criminal record check with vulnerable sector check. If the results are sent to you by email, forward the email to the College to access them directly from police services. If you are picking up the results at the police station, mail the document in its original form, sealed in the envelope.
    • If the province where you reside conducts separate adult and child abuse registry checks, contact them to order.  If that service is not available in your home province, the criminal record check with vulnerable sector check will contain that information
    • All checks must be current and within six months of application. We recommend your order all your background checks accordingly to when we can expect to receive your complete application.
    • Please be aware that only original documents are acceptable for application for registration with the College.
    • The record checks may take several weeks.  Please contact the College if they won’t be available before you wish to be registered.
  2. Please contact the dietetic regulatory body(s) where you have/had full registration and request a verification of registration to be sent to CDM to confirm that you are/were registered in good standing. Please note that the information contained in the verification of registration is valid for 30 days, therefore, we recommend that you time the request accordingly to when we can expect to receive your complete application. The regulatory body(s) will also provide us with your transcripts, internship verification, and CDRE results.
  3. Copy of your current resume which can be uploaded when you apply to the College.
  4. Proof of identity and current legal name, such as a passport or driver’s licence, which can be uploaded when you apply to the College.

Registration Fees:

  • At the time of application, you will be charged the initial application fee of $120.00.
  • Once your application has been approved, an invoice for the registration fee will appear on your account.
  • Registration fee: $615.00 per year, or $51.25 per month prorated based on the month of registration.
