Entry Level Competencies for Dietitians in Canada

The Integrated Competencies for Dietetic Education and Practice (ICDEP) version 3.0 and related performance indicators were finalized and approved by CDM Council in 2020.  These competencies were required to be fully incorporated into education programs by August 31, 2023, and are the basis for accreditation. Beginning at the May 2024 exam sitting, the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE) is based on these competencies, and they also inform CDM’s assessment process for registration.
