Integrated Competencies for Dietetic Education and Practice (ICDEP)

The ICDEP version 2.0 and related performance indicators were finalized and approved by CDM Council in 2013.  These competencies are valid until August 31, 2023.  The Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE) is based on these competencies.  These competencies also inform CDM’s assessment process for registration.

ICDEP version 2.0 (2013)

The ICDEP have been recently revised (version 3.0) and are required to be fully incorporated into education programs by August 31, 2023.  The CDRE will be based on these revised competencies beginning at the May 2024 exam sitting.  Dietetic education program accreditation will be based on the ICDEP version 3.0 beginning September 1, 2023.
