Step 1: IEP Application

Credential Assessment

To be eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba (the College), you must have a university degree that is equivalent to Canadian university standard.

To determine if your degree is equivalent, you must complete a credential assessment through one of these agencies:

World Education Services (WES – Canada)

  • Please request the course-by-course evaluation
  • If you order the ICAP service, there is no need to send your transcripts to the College, as WES will verify and send them directly to us

International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)

  • Please request the ‘Basic’ assessment

University of Toronto – Comparative Education Services

Your Results

You must instruct your credential assessment agency to send your credential assessment results directly to the College.

Please contact us to provide your email address, so that we can email you to confirm that we have received your assessment results. Assessment results are due within 30 days of the date you submit your IEP Application Form.

IMPORTANT

In addition to your credential assessment, the College of Dietitians of Manitoba (the College) will also assess your degree. The College will specifically assess your nutrition courses to ensure that they are equivalent to a Canadian accredited university degree in human nutritional sciences. If your degree or nutrition courses are NOT equivalent,  the College will advise you to complete Step 2: Document Assessment.
